My program introduced UX skills one at a time and incorporating the new skill with other tools of UX design where applicable. As such the majority of the coursework had a limited scope. Over the course of my program I have been introduced to and developed the broad range of skills employed in the UX design process.
I have developed interview protocols and scripts for in-person, video call, and phone interviews with stake holders and perspective users.
I have analyzed answers and information from research using affinity grouping.
Details from interviews were used to map out user journeys to identify pain points and desired goals.
I have developed personas that represent a hypothetical user to guide my designs.
I have led testing participants through both open and closed card sorting exercising to inform labelling and category content.
I have developed user workflows to visualize the big picture of a user's path though a design.
I have built site maps to represent and evaluate the hierarchal structure of websites.
I have created and revised low and medium fidelity wireframes. As well as offering constructive critiques to classmates.
I have studied user interactions and have incorporated micro-interactions into my prototypes.
I have evaluated a published website for accessibility using WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
I have developed and conducted both moderated and unmoderated usability tests on my own work as well as the work of others. Analysis of the results were used to create recommendations for revision.
